Plot

An ex con and alcoholic patient, Charlie Metcalf (Ray Liotta) passes out in the waiting room and is brought to the emergency room by the doctors. It shows the real time of 45 minutes with an patient of his life story and his final days in the ER, which touches the doctors treating him.

Luka, Pratt, Abby and Sam try to save the life of an ex-con and alcoholic named Charlie Metcalf, who might be living his final minutes due to cirrhosis-related illnesses. Life-long screw-up Charlie hopes in vain to make up with his son, whom he has not seen since prison. Pratt objects to the effort and expense of treating Charlie until Luka makes him confront his feelings about his own absent father. Charlie opts to cease treatment and await his death.—KGF Vissers

From 11:22 to 12:06 we can follow everything that happens to Charlie Metcalf (played by Ray Liotta), a patient who is at death's door.
