The Student (#10.17)

Warning: Spoilers
The main story of the episode was Neela trying to be more decisive as Carter tells her that this is what she has to improve for her evaluation. And she makes a big mistake that Gallant tries to take on himself. Really, after this show one would be scared going to ER, so many stories where people die because of mistakes. But it was pretty good. I especially felt for Gallant including the last conversation with Carter. Hope it works out, I like this character.

The story about creeps was also pretty good. The one with Chuck defending Susan was pretty funny. And I must say I often see Patrick Kerr play some weird guys.

Also a touching story about the guy who finds out his kid is not his son but doesn't want to tell it to his wife and he sees the kid as his son anyways. So true, being a father is way more than biology where it matters the most. I also liked how Luka said to Sam that he is the father when she asked.

Directed by Paul McCrane (Romano), I liked the way it was structured.

ER has a strange agenda
polite-4569212 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
ER has a strange agenda of promoting the insipid degeneracy of cuckoldry.

Not only was Benton pleased with having been cuckolded, a patient's father loudly proclaims how pleased he is to have been cuckolded such that he wants to make his "wife" happy by taking care of another man's child as his own.

To a lesser extent, a vaguely similar situation occurred when Gallant falsified a medical record--risking his career--to cover up Neela's mistake.
