Last appearance in the regular series for Al Corley as Steven Carrington. Corley had grown tired of the part and wanted to pursue other career options, including music and producing. Jack Coleman would take over the role the following year, though it was Corley who played Steven in the Dynasty: The Reunion (1991) mini-series.
The French version ignores the gay issue of the family confrontation with Steven Carrington. In an obvious attempt to avoid the subject, the "Steven is gay" line was translated "Steven est malade" (meaning "Steven is sick").
Claudia mentions that she doesn't know how far Ecuador is from Denver. It's a little over 3200 miles.
Steven, in his final scene, has the family off-balance. If they had been more prepared for the confrontation, most of them could have been able to give concrete examples of how "nice" Sammy Jo was: charging a fortune in credit to his name (Krystle, Alexis), taking Fallon's necklace without asking (Fallon, Jeff), and telling Fallon that Blake might not be her father (Fallon).
