- Duckman is tired of constantly looking after Berniece's mother so the family looks into several retirement residences against Berniece's wishes. Duckman then goes to get two steamed buns that he won being a judge in a beauty contest leaving Grandma-ma unattended in the car with the keys in the ignition and the car idling. Berniece is upset after Duckman gets home because Grandma-ma didn't make it to the retirement residence and at her insistance he go back and find her. Duckman goes back to where he left his mother-in-law in the car, takes Gecko out of a carpet bag, and gives the dog a scent to follow via a piece of Grandma-ma's dress. Picking up the scent Gecko leads Duckman and Cornfed to all of the unbelievable places that Grandma-ma went to ending up at a village where the elderly are cherrished. Duckman then realizes that Grandma-ma must have died somewhere on her adventure. Duckman relies on the sleazy con-man Terry Duke Tetslov to provide a elaborate, and grossly overpriced, funeral for Grandma-ma only to find that he needed a license to run a funeral parlor. Duckman then tries to remember what Grandma-ma said to him on the day he married his beloved Beartrice. Duckman realizes that Grandma-ma told him that she loved him. Duckman gets lowered into Grandma-ma's grave plots that is until it explodes sending she and Duckman into the air and landing on the ground. Berniece comes to realize that her mother must have been feeling neglected. Duckman only cares that Grandma-ma loves him and to celebrate he does an over zealous dance that gets Grandma-ma thinking: "I hate this guy."
