This episode was aired out of order of filming. Not only was Erika Flores appearing as Colleen, but Brian Shawn Toovey appears significantly younger than in the episodes before and after this one. (The part of Colleen had been recast after a salary dispute between Erika's father. Erika was asked to sign a 3-year contract after Season 2 however her father felt she should receive more money than her co-stars siblings. The network refused and recast Jessica Bowman as Colleen Cooper.)
The hairstyles in this episode look more like the 1970s than the 1870s.
Dr Quinn appears to be wearing frosted lipstick which was not invented until the 1930s.
The green Vaseline glass candlesticks on Dr Mike's dining table are from the 1930s.
Pigeons are heard cooing in the barn, but none are seen.
Dr. Porter / Dr. Bones finds 100 year old Indian bones. He uses his hand to brush dirt away from the bones. If he were really a professional, he would have a set of brushes. He also would not have asked a soldier to use a shovel to dig. A shovel would have disturbed the bones or broken the bones.
Dr. Bones has a shaved head. He is working at elevation in the outdoors and does not wear a hat. He should have a very sunburned scalp. Also, Dr. Quinn should have advised him to wear a hat. She is always giving free medical advice...solicited or unsolicited.
Sully says he cannot help after Maude's remains are stolen by the dog soldiers...Indians. he is an US Indian Agent. Seems like is he is the only one who should and could help.
