- Rob would like to know why Laura disappears every time his insurance agent Ed Rubin comes over or calls.
- In the first of a two-parter, Rob cannot figure out why Laura seems so agitated around him. He finally learns that it involves a lie she told him years earlier when they got married -- a lie that could have disastrous consequences for their future married life together.—aldanoli
- Rob invites his friend and insurance broker Ed Rubin to the house but feels that Laura doesn't like him; every time Rob even mentions Ed, Laura seems to tense up. Despite her assertions to the contrary, Rob's certain of Laura's dislike when she sneaks out of the house before Ed's arrival and doesn't return until midnight, thinking he'd surely be gone by then. Rob's hypothesis shifts the next morning when she sneaks away when he speaks to Ed on the phone about a medical exam, and her excuses for not being around don't ring true. Rob suspects that she's scared of the insurance policy they've discussed taking out on her and decides to confront her directly but lovingly so she'll feel comfortable enough to tell him the problem. What scares Laura does end up being a small problem in the eyes of the law.—Huggo
- Complications arise when Laura confesses to Rob that she lied about her age on their marriage license.
