- Dharma becomes jealous when she learns Abby and Larry will raises the baby differently than how she was raised, but turns to guilt when Abby is rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, Pete and Jane use Greg as. 'Marriage counseler.'
- Dharma is appalled when her mother Abby decides to raise her new baby normally, not the 'cool, liberating' loony hippie way she was raised. While defending the crazy attributes of her youth she finally faces facts, it was all emotional baggage to dump on a child. Abby is rushed to hospital, and Dharma feels guilty for resenting her ma as an 'unworthy expecting mother'. George Littlefox's spirit appears to her. Meanwhile Jane asks for help with her loveless marriage to Greg's mate Pete, and his advice to talk instead of just indulging in her SM abuse results in a drastic resolution.—KGF Vissers
- Abby and Larry prepare for the new baby. The ultrasounds are looking good. Abby has some lower back pain which puts pressure on her bladder. Abby is also a bit hormonal. Abby had asked the doctor to give something to calm Larry down, but it doesn't look like that Larry will make it through Abby's pregnancy.
Abby's (Mimi Kennedy) plans for the new baby rattle Dharma (Jenna Elfman), because Abby's admission that she and Larry (Alan Rachins) made mistakes raising Dharma. Abby thinks its a miracle that Dharma is still alive. Like letting Timothy Leary be her babysitter. He was so baked that he thought Dharma was twins and was crying his eyes out one night when he thought he had lost Dharma's sister. Or not getting a crib for her. Dharma slept on a hand made hammock, covered with a layer of banana leaves and a layer of moss. Her pet Fluffy was either a feral cat or a raccoon. Dharma did not get to wear diapers at all.
For the new baby she is getting a baby monitor, a cradle that rocks itself, chewing toys and a baby leash - all of this threatens Dharma's memories of her childhood as idyllic. Abby is even buying a plastic baby tub and a changing table. Abby tells Dharma that she will do things differently this time around. Abby says that she and Larry were kids themselves when they had Dharma. Dharma has to bring all of her old toys to her apartment to make room for the new stuff for the baby. Dharma complains to Greg that her whole childhood was a sham. Greg tries to explain that Dharma believes that her childhood was perfect and that's what matters. This infuriates Dharma who thinks Abby lied to her for her entire life and that she doesn't deserve the baby.
When Abby's pregnancy is threatened by complications, Dharma feels obscurely responsible, until a visit from the spirit of her dead friend George (Floyd Westerman) sets her straight. He makes her realize that she is who she is because of everything (right or wrong) that she went through in her life. George says that if Dharma controlled the fate of the baby, then she should be God. The problem goes away when Dharma prays. Kitty (Susan Sullivan) and Edward (Mitchell Ryan) arrive at the hospital. Larry tells them that the baby is now safe and Abby will carry a full term.
Jane comes by to talk to Dharma, but she is busy dealing with her own issues with Abby. So, Jane has no option but to seek Greg's advice. Meanwhile, Pete also reaches out to Greg for advice. Both say that the sex is great, but they both irritate each other endlessly. Greg's (Thomas Gibson) advice helps Pete (Joel Murray) and Jane (Shae D'Lyn) make a move to repair their crumbling marriage. Greg had advised that they talk to each other and after an hour and a half they decide that they can't stand the voice of each other: they announce they are getting divorced.
