- Dharma finds an obnoxious woman gets on her nerves enough to turn her violent, against all Finkelstein principles, next to the even more aggressive sister. Greg suggests she lets off steam, but that proves dangerous too, whether verbal or in the boxing ring. Larry discovers the temptations of being treated to fringe benefits once word gets out among the staff he's boss Ed's in-law, even though he can't even remember who he's supposed to plead for.—KGF Vissers
- Dharma regretfully taps into her hidden anger and a penchant for boxing when a woman challenges her to a barroom brawl. The woman occupies the seat next to Dharma, which she was saving for Greg, which she refuses to vacate. The woman says that she is a shoe salesperson, and she stays on her feet for 10 hours every day to suck up to trophy wives like Dharma and she just wants to sit down somewhere, and the bar is very crowded.
Dharma hits that woman, defending herself, when she is being shoved around by that woman. When the woman recovers and tries to attack Dharma, Dharma punches her in the face once again and the woman goes down on all fours. Dharma is worried that she has anger management issues and appalled that she raised her hand in violence. Greg says that everybody saw that Dharma was defending herself and that woman herself is not pressing any charges. Plus, Greg says that Dharma has a great right hook.
Abby asks her to go back to the woman and ask for her forgiveness to restore karmic balance. Larry says that he never raised his hand in violence. Not when the Chicago cops were hitting them with sticks, not when the Mississippi police turned their fire-hoses on them, not even when the National Guard pelted them with tear gas. Greg says that the woman was very unpleasant, and that Dharma should not go to meet her. But Dharma agrees with Abby.
Dharma apologizes to the woman and seeks for forgiveness. Dharma and the woman make their peace with each other. The woman admits that that night she had too much to drink and that she has a drinking problem. This makes her sister Lydia (Helen Cates) mad to know that Dharma hit her sister. The sister pokes Dharma and she ends up punching the sister as well. Dharma is appalled by her aggression, but she instead starts yelling at other people as well, which is completely against her good nature. She pours eggnog on Kitty when she leans on Dharma too much about decorating her tree the wrong way. Dharma realizes that she needs to learn to control her anger.
She tries boxing with Jane. She gets Jane to get her all riled up, which Jane does by calling Dharma goody miss perfect 2 shoes. Dharma tries to attack Jane and gets beaten to a pulp herself instead. Kitty has Dharma painting her entire house, to teach her a lesson.
Meanwhile, Larry takes his familial relationship with the boss for granted. People at Larry's office offer him goodies (concert tickets) so that he puts in a good word for them to Edward. But Larry keeps forgetting who bribed him, so he can't tell Edward who's doing a good job at the company. Since Edward refuses to meet Larry's friends, Larry takes them to meet Greg instead. Larry wants Greg to act as if he is going to make a play for the company by trying to squeeze Edward out of his job. Greg refuses to play along. So, Larry leaves the guys with Greg and makes an exit through the back door.
