As always with this series, it is fun to watch our lead trio in action. Jason is a good character, witty and eccentric, Stewart has a likability that comes across, and Annabelle is beautiful and just a pleasure to watch.
As with some other episodes, the script here is underwhelming--indeed, it is rather a yawner. It's worth watching once, anyway. One modest plus is that the episode is ostensibly set outside the UK, which supports the idea that these are agents with an international as well as national (UK) remit.
Another plus for this series, to me, is its general tone. The stories are not dark and brooding, as often in "The Baron." There is some humor and witty repartee among the leads. A gritty crime drama, this is not! Thankfully, as there are enough of those. Charm, being in color, English scenery, good acting from the leads, and the loveliness of Rosemary Nichols, are the strong points of this series.
