Rose Elizabeth Dunn (1878-1955), known as Rose of Cimarron, had two older brothers became minor outlaws by the time she was 12; they taught her how to rope, ride, and shoot. At 15, she became involved romantically with George Newcomb (1866-1895), a member of The Wild Bunch, led by Bill Doolin (1858-1896) and Bill Dalton (1863-1894). Her four brothers later became bounty hunters and killed Newcomb and another Wild Bunch outlaw for the reported $5000 bounty on each. In 1898, she married a local politician and moved out of Oklahoma.
