Warning: Spoilers
I still can't watch the Joey Dawson stuff without getting a headache, but there seems to be improvement. The episode is saved by Pacey and I do love Andie too! If they focused on them more...but seriously why is Abby still here? I can't watch her without rolling my eyes to the back of my head, aaaaa!!

"Who are you? What happened to Jen?"

I've been wondering that since the start of the second season. Oh, it is certainly true that Jen went through a devastating series of events at the end of season1 which are enough to change a person, especially a teen with her background. My objection isn't about questioning the realism, although this progression is still a little extreme. My objection is that in season 1, Jen is an extremely remarkable person and now that is completely gone. I admired that Jen. While dumping Dawon was questionable, the Jen of season 1 has been extremely mature otherwise. Dawson did treat her like crap at times, so maybe he deserved it, but the timing was what seemed off. Jen's attitude towards Joey was also remarkable. Perhaps there was an element of desperation where Joey was her last resort for a friend, but again, now Jen is the opposite. In season 1, Jen had a rebellious attitude especially towards Grams, but her behavior was almost conservative, enough that it should have made Grams proud.

I don't love Pacey's complete self deprecation, but it would appear that this is to set up the relationship with Andi. That doesn't have to be romantic, but it has great potential to be healthy. I love Andi. Oh, she is annoying enough, but somehow adorable also. She has taken up some of the positive character traits Jen had.

In most of season 1, Dawson was a jerk to both Jen and Joey. His repentant moments were more like narcissistic rationalizations. Now, his reactions to them both are still a bit selfish, but now he is caught in the middle in circumstances that are difficult to come out clean.

I hate the Gail and Mitch thread. It is not quite as deplorable as the Pacey and Tamara thread of season 1, but it has some unsavory moments.
