DANIEL BOONE – Daughter of the Devil -1965
This is the 27th episode of the long running 1964-70 series about the life of American frontiersman and explorer, Daniel Boone. The lead is played by Fess Parker. Also in the mix are Albert Salmi, Ed Ames, Patricia Blair, Veronica Cartwright and Darby Hinton.
Fess Parker and Ed Ames rescue Frank Silvera and Pilar Suerat from losing their scalps to a band of roving Shawnee. They escort the pair to Fort Boonesborough and put them up in a spare cabin.
The rather sultry Suerat soon has the men folk all drooling over her. Attitudes towards the woman change, when stories about her being a voodoo priestess from the Cajun country, surface. Soon everyone is frightened of Suerat. Every time someone has an ache, or an accident happens, Suerat is blamed.
Also in the mix trouble wise, is that a large puma is attacking residents of the fort. The big cat kills one and injures several others. Parker and Ames organize a big hunting party and set out exterminate the beast.
The beast is killed and Suerat moves on. Not really sure how to describe this episode. Not a favourite one for me I'll say.
