A crew member can be heard calling out 'Stop' at the end of the first wheel spin shot after Jones' van sinks into the mud. Additionally, the props featured in the church hall yard scene also pop up at the beginning of Gorilla Warfare, which was recorded on the same day as this episode.
In all of the scenes (studio and location) except one, the leaves on the English countryside trees reveal that the season is Spring or Summer. But in just one scene, when the last signposter of the platoon is being let down from Jones's van, the trees seen outside through the van window have no leaves, indicating a Winter setting.
When Pike first pushes Jones' van, he doesn't get dirty, even though the wheel has already been shown spinning and spurting mud. A shot of the wheel spinning is then shown, and Pike is then shown pushing in the same place and getting sprayed with mud.
Private Godfrey refers to his sister Dolly's Auntie Elsie. Given that Godfrey's sister(s) seem to be spinster(s) any aunt of Dolly would be Godfrey's aunt too.
