- Da Vinci is suspected of causing a hit-and-run accident after coming home drunk one night and not being able to find his car the next day.
- Kosmo and Danny reconnect, during which Danny continues his shady drug dealings with Leon. A decomposed body is found in a shallow grave below a bridge. Homicide quickly determines that the body is that of Lamont, an ex-con, with the primary suspect being Rocky, the then boyfriend of Lamont's ex-wife. Under questioning, Rocky admits he hated but didn't kill Lamont. Based on Lamont's injuries, Da Vinci believes that Lamont was hit by a driver on the bridge causing Lamont to go over the bridge railing. Rocky still denies he had anything to do with it. Reviewing old traffic accident reports, Da Vinci finds a case that may have something to do with Lamont's death. Meanwhile Zack investigates an as of yet non-fatal but serious hit and run of a homeless man. Da Vinci is concerned because he was drunk and in the vicinity of the accident at the time and he can't find his car, this circumstantial evidence pointing to that he may have been the hit and run driver. He isn't hiding anything he knows of the incident, but in his drunken state, he just can't remember anything. He is in possible deeper trouble as the hit and run victim is being represented pro bona by lawyer Linda Saltwyn, who has a personal vendetta against Da Vinci. Eventually Zack locates Da Vinci's car which is used as conclusive evidence in the case.—Huggo
