Pete Hagen, the man with whom Larry and Jeff have burgers from Jack in the Box (and who later robs the Jack in the Box), is played by Frank Whaley, whose most famous role is probably his scene in Pulp Fiction (1994). That scene also involved eating take-out from a burger joint, and also contained a reference to Jack in the Box.
The Seinfeld (1989) episode The Statue (1991) contained a nearly identical joke about whether it is good or bad to be the last one selected in "Eeny Meeny Miney Moe" and "Ink a Dink".
When Larry is identifying the man he had dinner with in the police lineup the police officer says one of the guy's aliases is Peter The Torque. This is a reference joke to Peter Tork, a member of the band The Monkees.
