The Long Way Home: Part 1

Combat!

Edit

Continuity

As some Germans are playing soccer, the ball is kicked into the bushes and it is seen to go past Billy, who is hidden in the bushes. As camera angles change back and forth between Billy and the Germans, Billy is seen to look down beside himself at the ball, then he reaches behind himself to move it forward so the Germans can find it while he gets away.
Kirby showers with his cap on, but minutes later it is dry.

Revealing mistakes

When Caje signs the roster, he signs "Paul Caje LeMay." Since "Caje" is a nickname given to him by the squad, it wouldn't be part of his signature.
When Saunders brings Gates a cup of wine, the cup is angled toward the camera and it is seen to be empty. But Gates takes a couple drinks as if there is something there.
After having Gates tortured and he realizes that he won't hear anything more from Gates, Capt. Steiner speaks to his adjutant in English.

Miscellaneous

After the prisoners have showered, they exit the shower area in clean, laundered uniforms. However, their uniforms never left the shower area.

Character error

In one scene, one of Steiner's men addressed him as Obersturmfuehrer, which translates as First Lieutenant. He should have said Hauptsturmfuehrer, which would be correct for his grade as Captain in the SS.
When a barely conscious Saunders is dragged back to the prison barracks area and dropped there, Doc shows some facial reaction, but doesn't rush to help.
