The supposed 44-40 spent shell casing from the rifle that Colt examines is actually a modern hollow point with the bullet still in place (unfired). Even though the base shows the bullet has been fired, it is still in place. In addition, the marking is, "5-45" which indicates it is a round used in the AK-47 developed by the Soviet Union in the nineteen seventies. The only thing correct was the center fire design.
