"Help Wanted" finds Ed imploring Monica (Julie Hill) to go out and get a job (her third appearance). She quickly earns employment at Colucci's Bar and Grill, but both Ed and Louie know the kind of riff raff that frequent the joint and urge her to quit. Louie recounts how one customer was almost killed: "he tipped below 15 percent!" It's not so easy to quit on Colucci (Louis Guss), who threatens to break both of Ed's legs in retaliation (Ed: "what kind of a man would I be if I ran away from Colucci?" Louie: "a healthy one!"). Ed and his guitar case poses as a tough guy with Louie his second in command, only to reckon with Colucci's right hand man Bruno (Ted Cassidy), who towers over both men, putting out his boss' cigar in the palm of his hand. Ted Cassidy was making one of his final on screen appearances, the studio audience reacting with great fanfare once he walks on, forever remembered as Lurch on THE ADDAMS FAMILY but mostly involved in voice-over work shortly before his untimely death in 1979.
