At 20.25, Diane "compliments" Sam's good looks by observing "...but you were standing next to a Cro-Magnon" (Fred Dryer). Cro-Magnons were early homo sapiens, but were more robustly built and obviously culturally primitive than modern humans which was probably Diane's point of reference.
From 1.10 to 1.57, (when he is escorting Harry The Hat out of Cheers), Sam says to give him back his watch. Sam exited his office having never worn a watch.
