Part one
coltras3519 April 2022
Campion attends the funeral of an old schoolmate. Months later he finds himself investigating the murder of someone who might be the same man.

A nice start to this mystery, which is pacier, with enough characters and things happening to catch your attention. Talk about twist and turns - and part one ends with a hook. It's also good learn a little about Campion's childhood - maybe him bullied is the cause for him to fight against crime.

A nice twisty whodunnit...

Warning: Spoilers
Always liked Peter Davison..infact all the actors in this series were favs. Of mine..Brian Glover..etc..the story is a good one with nice touches and not that easy to work out which I like...good for the old brain cells..never suspected the doc..but of course a lot of whodunnits and crime progs...it's the one person who stays close to the case that's the killer.

One goof though..when Campion looks around the door at a drugged Lugg on the bed it's Glover...but when he falls on the bed during the fight with the doc...it's another actor...bit of an error there I thought..maybe they had to have a stuntguy instead of Glover in case he was hurt accidentally..which of course would be strange as Glover was also a very good wrestler who could easily take bumps and bruises..great cast and very watchable..

The Case of the Late Pig: Part 1
Prismark1021 January 2019
Campion finds out about an old school friend that he disliked has passed away. He was known as the Pig and he was one. It looks like he might had been a swindler and not very nice with it.

Campion goes to his funeral where he meets Whippet, another person he was at school with.

Three months later Campion is asked to look into the death of a man who killed by a concrete slab that fell on him. An uncouth man who was planning an unpopular property development and foreclosing on people.

Campion is piqued as the body looks a lot like the Pig and then the body disappears.

Campion also meets an old flame but everytime he tries to talk to her about his feelings Campion gets disturbed.

I thought this was a much better opening story, there were some characters in the Pig's funeral that you know will feature again. It was also nice to find out a bit more about Campion, not only about his school days but also his personal life.
