After the second victim, Mac says that there is a serial killer.
A serial killer is defined by the FBI as someone who kills three or more victims, with significant spacing between them, usually at least a month.
This would be a spree killer, defined as someone who kills two or more people in a shorter time frame.

The team finds a film camera from which someone has ripped the film. Detectives decide that since the suspect only tore away part of the film that they could develop what wasn't taken. However, the only film remaining undamaged would also be unexposed film: i.e., no images. However, they magically get an image to help in their investigation.
The Doctor tells Mac that the living victim has a Glasgow Coma Score of 3, to which Mac says, "She's brain-dead?" and the doctor replies, "Yes." A score of 3 on the Glasgow scale indicates only deep unconsciousness, not necessarily brain-death. Further, as elements of the Glasgow Scale include verbal and motor responses, it is not properly applied to someone suffering from Locked-in Syndrome. The doctor, at least, should know this.
Mac tells the team they need to search a garbage barge for evidence. Danny asks, "What's the dimensions on the barge?" Mac: "About 140 by 38 feet." Danny: "Half the size of a football field." A football field, excluding the end zones, is 300 feet by 160 feet. The barge is almost half the length of a football field, but in terms of area, the barge is only about 1/9 the size of a football field.
