Marg Helgenberger and Alex Carter in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000)

Goofs

Viva Las Vegas

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

Edit

Continuity

When Nick Stokes extracts a hearing aid from the buried body, it is clean a second later, when shown in close-up.

Miscellaneous

When the 'suicidal' guy is found in the tub, he has on underwear. Later it is found out he did not kill himself but was killed by the hot dog vendor. Why was he taking a bath in his underwear?

Errors in geography

Ely, Nevada (farther from Las Vegas than New York City is from Washington DC) is in White Pine County, well outside the jurisdiction of the Las Vegas police.
When Sara and Nick arrive in Ely, they learn that the discovered body is alongside Area 51 ("about as close as we can get to the base and still be on public land"). Ely is nearly 150 miles from Area 51.
Nick and Sara are sent to investigate a "suspicious body" near Ely, Nevada. Ely is over 240 miles (a four-hour drive one way) from Las Vegas. Even if they took no time at all to excavate the body (which Nick says will take a long time), their trip would have taken over 8 hours. There is no way they could have completed the trip and investigation in the time alloted.
