When the light blue pickup is first seen from the front at the start of the chase, the passenger side headlight is broken and the fender damaged. In subsequent shots, both are undamaged, then it hits the bus with the passenger side fender, which would have caused the damage. When the pickup is seen after the crash when the occupant is making a phone call, it is again undamaged on the passenger side.
In the final pickup chase scene, the brown and white truck is seen next to the light blue truck, then when it runs off the road the light blue truck is missing.
In the final crash, the brown and white pickup hits the cliff on the passenger side front. When Jon and Ponch arrive, the driver side front is shown against the cliff and the truck is facing the opposite direction.
N the final pickup scene, only the driver is seen wearing a helmet while the "boss" is not. When the pickup hits the side of the road on the driver side and jumps, both driver and passenger are seen wearing helmets.
When the pickup is teetering on the cliff, Jon is shown taking off his inner belt to help Ponch rescue the kid. The inner belt cannot be removed without taking off the outer belt (gun belt), so what he did was impossible.
On the first visit with Tyler, his sister offers Ponch and Jon something cold to drink, which Jon says he'd like some water. Then they talk to Tyler for a moment or so, then leave after Ponch is given the hex. Not one time does Tyler's sister ever return with their water.
Crew members to include the sound man with pole microphone are visible in the outside rear-view mirror of Bear's patrol car.
Instead of having the kids go through the windshield of the school bus, Ponch could have just put the bus in gear and driven it away from the burning truck.
