Low Key Episode, But Very Amusing

Warning: Spoilers
Helen wants to tell Gordon she is pregnant or have a lovely dinner in his office.

Gordon of course, blows it.

During a fire drill, which I believe Brittas had blocked off all the exits with make-believe fire, trapping everyone within (poor Colin was designated an early fatality, but he wants to help so much, he keeps getting resurrected. He is one of the funniest moments in this ep).

Gordon had written several complaints about a faulty fire escape ladder. When the councillor is visiting to determine if the ladder is safe or not, she uncovers a real fire, which was caused quite by accident, and then finds herself and several other persons on the faulty fire escape, where they end up plunging 80 feet when the ladder gives way.

This would be the first time Whitbury Newtown Leisure Centre would be set afire.

But it was hardly the last!

Very funny.

Mr Brittas has decided to close The leisure centre for three days, in order to put the staff through extensive health and safety training.

It's been a while since I've seen an episode, and this did have me chuckling the while way through. Full credit to Chris Barrie, he's flawless here, his delivery is perfection, the way he speaks to the woman who goes into the changing rooms, side splitting.

Helen and Carol add their hilarious quirks to the episode, both are as zany as ever, but equally funny.

You just knew that there was going to be a fire.

Raucous fun. 8/10.
