- Jason McCord: But how will killing me get you to Paris?
- Johnny Dolan: After I've killed you, I can BUY Paris.
- Johnny Dolan: You staying here long?
- Jason McCord: No, I'm on my way to Hastings.
- Johnny Dolan: HASTINGS? There's not a goodlooking woman in that whole town.
- Johnny Dolan: McCord, ever crave something real bad? When I was a kid I used to crave rock candy, couldn't get enough of it. I used to watch my Dad dumping it in his whiskey. Well, I grew up, I stopped craving candy, and I started craving whiskey, good whiskey. I developed a taste for other things too. Good cigars, high class woman. And seeing things, going places. New York City maybe? Or even Paris, France. Well, all those those things take money, McCord, real money.
- Jason McCord: They do. But how will killing me get you to Paris?
- Johnny Dolan: After I've killed you, I can buy Paris.
- Andy Starrett: Ladies and Gents, you know we got a real famous man with us here today. Yessir, Jason McCord of Bitter Creek, the King of the Cowards. You ain't never gonna rub it all off, Captain.
- [the bar room brawl ensues]
- Matthew Paxton: But then Dolan always had an eye for the ladies. He was told not to talk about this. And you do the same.
- Jason McCord: [He wears a black leather eye patch over his right eye as a disguise] Why? Because it's against the Law to put a bounty on a man who's not a criminal? Mm? You afraid of going to jail, Mr Paxton.
- Matthew Paxton: It's as much for your sake as it is for mine.
- Thomas Frye: [He is laughing] I just thinkin.' First he finds his own cemetery and now he's gonna dig his own grave.
- Jason McCord: Let's see your face. Let's see it. FRYE! I thought you were dead.
- Thomas Frye: I'm a hard man to kill, Captain, just like you.
