Warning: Spoilers
I miss The Brady Bunch but still the memories are there. Here Bobby is on a roll with the pool table and it reminds me of the famous snooker movies that dominated the cinemas I guess.

Can there be a reboot of The Brady Bunch please.

Bobby The Pool Shark

Mike's boss Mr Matthews gives the Bradys a gift of a pool table.

Season 5 had it's share of lesser episodes and this is one as well. Bobby turns out to be very good at shooting pool. Jim Backus guest stars for the second time on this show, this time as Mr Matthews. Cousin Oliver is around but does not have much to do except act like a know it all. Only amusing scene is when Bobby beats Matthews in several games of pool.

BOBBY HAS THE KNACK!

Fun story all about Bobby becoming a teen pool hustler, in a round about way.

Bill Freedman wrote it, who was also a writer for MY FAVORITE MARTAIN.

Mike's boss, Mr. Mathews (played by Jim Backus, in his second series apperance) gives him a pool table as a thank you for all his good work. That leads to some complications... Carol invites Mathews and his wife (Dorothy Shay) over to dinner. Bobby --who has been brushing up on pool and is pretty good at what he does -- gets into a serious match with Mathews. Best line department, one of Mike's co-workers says, "If that was my kid, I'd break his arm!'

if you're a true fan of the show, you have to love this stuff.. That said, according to notes, there are some "questionable" shots Bobby makes in the game. Watch carefully.

Movie and music buffs will recognize Dorothy Shay, who in the 40s and 50s sang popular country songs and appeared in an Abbott and Costello movie, COMIN' ROUND THE MOUNTAIN. This was also the final appearance of Robert Reed, who abruptly quit the show, claiming he didn't like the scripts, although for years he had disagreements with producer Sherwood Schwartz. This also lead to him being dropped from MANNIX in a recurring role, which was a surprise for all cop show fans.

Dedicated to us long time Jim Backus fans. SEASON 5 EPISODE 21 remastered/color.
