- Cory and Topanga figure out that Shawn and Angela still love each other, but they have contradictory opinions on what to do about it.
- Now that Cory and Topanga both know that Shawn and Angela still love each other, they have conflicting views on what to do about it -- especially when, unbeknownst to each other, Cory invites Shawn to join their family Christmas while Topanga invites Angela. Topanga wants to let well enough alone, but Cory misses no opportunity to throw his friends together, but the consequences are not exactly what he wants: after they finally kiss, Angela expresses her love for Shawn, but he protests that he is "not ready" to make the same commitment and she storms off for good. Meanwhile, Eric takes his store Santa job a little too seriously when he convinces Rachel and Jack to help him steal his family's gifts in order to make underprivileged children happy.—Anonymous
- Mr. Feeny () decorates for Christmas and Eric () does his part by dressing up as a store Santa Claus, roping Rachel () and Jack () in as his Mrs. Claus and elf sidekick. Elsewhere, Cory () and Topanga () realize that they have invited both Shawn () and Angela (), who have broken up, to Christmas at the Matthews', but then discover that their friends are still in love with one another and scheme to reunite them. At the store, Eric is at first an unsatisfactory St. Nick, but when a group of disadvantaged children arrive, he finds himself moved by the spirit of the holiday and he, Jack and Rachel pool their efforts to buy presents for the kids. When their money runs out, Eric ends up stealing presents from under his own family's tree. At the Matthews home, Cory continues his efforts to reunite Shawn and Angela as a holiday "gift," and while they realize what he is up to, they end up sharing a kiss by the tree. Cory is thrilled and inadvertently spills the beans about Shawn and Angela's feelings for one another, and they go off to talk privately.
Eric continues giving away toys and is pleased at the children's happiness, but he is stymied when he meets a little boy named Tommy who wants a family for Christmas. Shawn and Angela talk at the university cafe and she admits that she has always loved him, but he frets that he does not know what he wants and is "not ready," and, tired of waiting, she says that they are finished. The Matthews family is bewildered to find all their gifts missing and replaced by notes from "Santa," regarding their donation, and Jack and Rachel confess their actions with Eric. Eric soon returns home, bringing Tommy along to share the holiday with the family, and says that he plans to act as his "big brother." Everyone gathers around to hear Feeny read A Christmas Carol, but when Shawn and Angela return, Cory and Topanga realize that it is not only Jacob Marley who is as "dead as a doornail."
