After Juan Pacheco is shot by the rifleman Little Joe takes off after them. As he rides uphill at a diagonal to the three horsemen; Ben calls him back. But as he brings his horse to a stop and turns and rides back to where his father is; it can be seen that the three actors who were fleeing from the scene of the shooting had stopped their horses. They probably were thought to be out of the shot as Little Joe rode back to Ben.
