It's Ben Cartwright who's thinking of wedding bells again. He's thinking of marrying widow Teresa Wright and she brings a son into the family already. Kind of like Barbara Marx who had a son already when she married Frank Sinatra.
But Dee Pollock has some issues, you can see that just in conversation. But it's more than issues, Pollock is on the run from a posse which is pursuing him for killing a girl he once loved and lost.
Not sure how the Cartwright boys would take to this one even if there was nothing like this hanging over him. Lorne Greene for Wright's sake does try to work things out.
The question for the viewer is whether Dee Pollock is a bad seed or a misunderstood youth. You might not figure out until the end.
