Winters is a fading big time movie star spending time on the beach watching the young surfer dudes. Two of the surfers, Tom Tyron and Don Stroud, take an interest in Winters when they discover she carries around 3-4 million in jewels. Tryon and Stroud are low end gigolos making 50 bucks here and a 100 there.
They see a chance at a big score and cozy up to Miss Winters and her daughter Eileen Wesson. The two come up with a plan to lift the jewels during a party. They pull the job and take the jewels to a fence. The fence gets a laugh when he tells Stroud and Tryon the stuff is paste.
Winters knew all along they were crooks and used the theft to bilk the insurance boys. Needless to say Tryon and Stroud are not amused, and a new plan to seize the real stones is hatched.
Not a bad episode for the first half. Then they switch gears for some reason and play the last half for laughs. It could have been a real barn-burner if they had played the whole thing straight.
In one of the scenes, JOHNNY STOOL PIGEON, is playing on the television.
