David Tennant is a dream
Beaugeard24 July 2006
i really love David's work not only on the screen but also on the stage.i think its because you can tell that he puts so much passion into every role that he is given!and this is no exception, here he delivers a talented yet believable character who falls in love with a local hard mans wife. they then have an affair but that is not enough so he try's to frame his wannabe partners husband of murder.I'm not going to tell you how it ends because its so good you should experience it for yourself.i only hope that one day i can either be as talented as David or at least work beside him.If you really want to see talent you should look on the internet and see if you can see him on a video in look back in anger.so powerful and so talented. and it helps if hes good looking.Hannah

Superb start.

Ripley Holden has big plans for Blackpool, the bold entrepreneur wants to expand his amusement into a big hotel complex, only he has a body on his premises.

What can you say, I've not seen this since its original transmission, watching this almost two decades on, it is as fantastic now as it was back then.

It covers pretty much every genre you could imagine, it's a family based drama, musical and a whodunnit. There really is more going on here than you could possibly imagine.

The cast, well just extraordinary, each of them plays their part tremendously in this first episode though the gold star goes to David Morrissey, Ripley is quite something, he's big, bold, brash, but is he a killer, only time will tell. Of course there's David Tenant, and he's magical (when isn't he!)

2004, The BBC truly were making some incredible shows. Oh for those days.

10/10.
