- When a store clerk wishes that he was a kid again, Tabitha grants his wish.
- When Samantha and Tabitha go toy shopping at a department store - Tabitha needing a gift for a friend's birthday - they are eventually waited on by thirty-two year old Irving Bates. Irving laments his life as an adult, as he would rather hide out in the stock room playing with the toys than sell them. When he openly states to Tabitha that he wishes he was nine years old again, Tabitha grants him his wish by turning him into a nine year old boy. Before he knows what has happened to him, Samantha and Tabitha have left the store. Overcoming many hurdles, nine year old Irving, believing what is happening is some kind of dream, is able to find his way to the Stephens' house and explain what happened, which is when he knows what is happening is real. But when Tabitha tries to change him back into a thirty-two year old man, the spell doesn't work. Consulting with Dr. Bombay, Samantha learns that the reason for Tabitha's spell not working is because one or both of them truly want Irving to be nine years old. It is easy enough for Samantha to convince Tabitha to do as she's told, but it maybe a little more difficult to convince Irving to become a man again.—Huggo
