Bergerac pursues Catherine and loses her but Charlie Hungerford manages to take her out for lunch during a cricket match. There is another mysterious person on the island, arrived on a private plane and he seems to be criss crossing all the various interested parties. Bergerac thinks he might be able to uncover his identity.
Ronald Hines makes more of an impression here as Inspector West with the thankless task of catching someone who is regarded as a folk hero with the general public. There is a twist with the Frenchman who everyone thinks might be Prescott after plastic surgery. Although it is rather hard to believe that Prescott would had so radically changed when in Jersey originally for the plastic surgery or that he needed a 10 yearly tune up.
