When Becker is dismissed from duty he is told that the "city" thanked him for his service. However, Linda is serving on a murder case, which would not be the in the jurisdiction of a municipal court.
Once Linda was selected for a jury, she would not be allowed to return to the room where prospective jurors were waiting.
