Dirk Benedict, Richard Hatch, Anne Lockhart, and Laurette Spang in Battlestar Galactica (1978)

Goofs

The Hand of God

Battlestar Galactica

Edit

Continuity

As Starbuck and Apollo are landing the Cylon fighter on the Galactica, it is obviously borrowed footage from the previous episode "Take the Celestra." We can see them both wearing the head communicators, which of course, neither of them are wearing on the Cylon fighter.
The amount of damage on the Galactica goes back and forth during the battle.
The transmission received from Apollo 11 at the end is the first manned moon landing. The earlier transmissions show the Lunar Module Assent state after they left the moon.

Factual errors

The Galactica's forward laser hits the baseship and it explodes on contact. But lasers have no impact. They inflict damage by burning.

Revealing mistakes

Fighter battle sequences are all recycled from "Saga of a Star World".
When they are flying the Cylon Raider, Starbuck and Apollo's hair is parted on the wrong side in several shots. This is noticeable every time Starbuck is closer to the camera than Apollo. Either they filmed footage of the actors sitting in the wrong seats by mistake, or else they were unable to place a camera at this angle (for instance if the set only had one side wall and window), and had the two of them switch seats with the intention of flipping the shots during the editing process.
When climbing down the ladder in the baseship, silver duct tape can be seen on the walls.
It seems strange that the Cylon base star would have ladders on it for bulky machines like the Cylons to have to climb, rather than be equipped with all elevators.
In one shot inside the Cylon Raider, Starbuck's hands are reaching in front of him as if operating the controls but not touching anything.

Plot holes

There seems to be no explanation as to why the Cylon Basestar would have heat, gravity, and air to support humans when the Cylons themselves are machines and wouldn't need any of these features.

Character error

When Starbuck and Apollo launch in the cylon ship from the Galactica, their heads jerk back but at different times, Starbuck's first then Apollos. They should have happened at the same time.
