- Bruce Wayne: You work with me, Tim, you follow the rules. Rule Number One: You give me everything you've got. Rule Number Two: Then you give me more. And Rule Number Three: I make the rules.
- Dick Grayson: Watch that last one, kid. It's a killer.
- Alfred Pennyworth: I called Batgirl right after you arrived, sir, though apparently not soon enough.
- Batgirl: He's been upstairs.
- Tim Drake: So what? I know how to keep a secret. You can trust me. Honest!
- [as she lifts up his shirt, a watch and a wad of money fall out of his waistband]
- Batman: What did Two-Face want with you?
- Tim Drake: My old man used to work for Puke-Face, but that was before he split town.
- Batgirl: Your father left you all alone?
- Tim Drake: Big deal. He was never around much, anyway. But I can take care of myself.
- [throwing a batarang]
- Tim Drake: Ha! See? I found it after you cleared some bangers out of the hood.
- Alfred Pennyworth: My word!
- Tim Drake: Just like Batman, nobody messes with Tim Drake.
- Batman: Except Two-Face.
- Tim Drake: Yeah, I guess my old man took something that belonged to him. But don't ask me where it is. All he left me was this.
- Batman: And a key.
- Batgirl: [taking Shifty's note] There's an impression.
- [showing Batman]
- Batgirl: Do you recognize it?
- Batman: Gotham Airport.
- Batgirl: What's the matter?
- Batman: They found a John Doe in Metropolis River whose prints match his father's.
- Tim Drake: That means he's not coming back. My old man, he's gone for good. That's what a John Doe means, right?
- Batgirl: Well, we can't be absolutely...
- Batman: Yes.
- Tim Drake: He was never gonna come back for me, anyway. He was too scared.
- Batman: Of what? What did he take from Two-Face? Why did he hide it?
- Tim Drake: Hey, if I knew, I'd tell you.
- Alfred Pennyworth: Excuse me, sir, but there's something on television you might find enlightening.
- Two-Face: Attention, people of Gotham City. I've got a simple equation for you. One plus one equals Armageddon! When these two liquids are mixed together, they create a nasty gas. Unless I receive $2 million by 2:00 a.m., there'll be two kinds of citizens in Gotham: the dying and the dead.
- Batgirl: He wouldn't!
- Batman: That's not what his father thought. We've got to find Two-Face.
- Tim Drake: I might know where he is. The old Janus movie theater. I followed my old man there once when he was working for Puke-Face.
- Batman: [to Batgirl] Come on.
- Tim Drake: [following them to the Batmobile] I wanna go.
- Batman: No, it's too dangerous.
- Tim Drake: But I got a stake in this.
- Batman: [firmly] I said no.
- Alfred Pennyworth: [watching them depart] Don't take it personally, lad. He's never been one for debate.
- Batman: Alfred?
- Alfred Pennyworth: Right here, sir. You appear to have suffered quite a shock to the system.
- Batman: The boy?
- Alfred Pennyworth: He's here, too, I'm afraid.
- [looking around, he sees Tim is gone]
- Alfred Pennyworth: At least, he was.
- [realizing he went upstairs]
- Alfred Pennyworth: Oh, my.
