(at around 16 mins) Fugate has Mayor Hill tied up on the clock hand, and tells him that he will be crushed when the clock hands meet at precisely 3:15. The minute and the hour hand of a clock actually come together at slightly past 3:16 because the hour hand has covered some distance at its slow pace when the minute hand had traveled during the 15 minutes. A time maniac like Fugate should have known this fact about clocks.
