Never will he fade or die

Warning: Spoilers
Long while since I watched this episode but recently revisited it. This episode sets up the series well and introduces us to a new batman. When Wayne is now to old to be batman he sees himself in a different role. Initially not willing to put a young kid through the torments of being the bat yet somehow finds empathy in Terry McGinnis. Terry McGinnis's father finds corruption in Wayne enterprises and is now a target of Derek Powers. The animation for the time was up there with the award winning animated series. Set in a futuristic Gotham 20 years on from Bruce's final batman battle, a new batman will rise. A nice fresh take on batman

Great episode only 1 minor flaw

I haven't seen this show since I was a kid. I am currently 26 years old.

Even though the show is kind of cheesy it has a really cool animation/ artstyle. The voice acting is great and the feeling off the show is overall good. My only issue with the show was the emotion shown. I feel like there should have been a little more emotion in certain spots (no spoilers so i won't say) If they have more elaborate emotion it would have been a perfect episode.

I also thought I might add I am a cartoon and anime fan. I am not watching this because I am a batman fan. I actually haven't even seen the movies. But I really do enjoy this. Can't wait to see more!

Sums up all the good stuff in this series.

I keep coing back to this two-parter simply because it is so good at setting up everything I love about this show.

In here we see how Bruce Wayne ended up leaving the Bat suite behind and the origin story of the new kid Terry McGinnis, and it's made up brilliantly. And finally they managed to make the angular design of the characters look natural and not like a bad iitation of the Superman design.

The design of the Neo Gotham setting in the future is slick and new problems call for new eyes to take them on. My favorite episodes if you hadn't figured it out ;)
