Law student Selma Gürsel, an ethnic Turk, is found dead under her dorm window, no suicide but pushed. The president, vice-president and treasurer of a small frat occupy he rest of the floor but rather arrogantly deny knowing anything. It's soon established they are hiding something, but that also goes for Selma's old-fashioned pa, a grocer, and big brother Suat, both of whom considered her liberal attitude (allegedly including an affair with the treasurer) a disgrace for the family and turned for help to a respected businessman.
