When Andy pulls in to the Gas station in Raleigh you can see he puts the car in park. In the the episode where Goober teaches Aunt Bee to drive he explains the manual transmission.
Near the end of the show, Andy and Goober are standing outside at the gas station. On the road behind a Coors beer truck rolls by. This couldn't have happened in Raleigh, NC in 1968 as Coors was illegal east of the Mississippi at that time.
Andy just happens to have an extra suit in tow on his one night trip to Raleigh. This is so Goober can borrow it and look affluent for his old friend when he accidentally rips his jacket seam. No reason for Andy to bring an extra suit.
At the end of the show Andy is standing by a soft drink machine and looks back toward his car. The station attendant can be seen standing at the rear of the car, supposedly pumping gas. The actor portraying the attendant is merely standing behind the car pretending to be filling it up since all of the hose nozzles are still clearly seen in the gas pumps and not in use.
Goober rips his suit and has to borrow Andy's suit to go out to eat but the next morning when they are getting ready to leave he is wearing his suit again with no sign of the tear.
Andy stops at a gas station on the way home from Raleigh with Goober. He gets out to get a soda and sees the man that embarrassed Goober at dinner the night before working under a greasy car. In the background, you can see a Coors beer truck drive by. They couldn't be in North Carolina because Coors wasn't distributed east of the Mississippi River until the 1970s.
