Aneta Corsaut and Andy Griffith in The Andy Griffith Show (1960)

Goofs

Aunt Bee and the Lecturer

The Andy Griffith Show

Edit

Continuity

During dinner with the Professor, Andy hands the green onions to Aunt Bee, who sets them down on the corner of the table between them to her right. In the next shot, she is seen setting them down again.
Aunt Bee drank a glass of Chianti at the Italian restaurant with the professor but in season 3, episode 24 "Aunt Bee's Medicine Man," Andy stated that she did not drink, even saying "She won't even allow fruit cake in the house."

Factual errors

The shows writers did not always follow the series backstory. Bee tells the Professor that she'd moved in with Andy and Opie in 1959, but she also tells Opie's pal Arnold that she remembers his birth announcement. Opie was already 5 years old when she moved to Mayberry.

Miscellaneous

There are no drinking glasses at the supper table with Professor St. John, Aunt Bee, Clara, Andy, Helen, and Opie, no water or anything else to drink. Before sitting down they were served wine on a tray but the wine glasses were not brought to the table either. The table is rather small for six people, maybe that's the reason.
