The title comes from the Alan Jay Lerner and 'Frederick Loewe' {qv} movie My Fair Lady (1964). The original Broadway production of "My Fair Lady" opened at the Mark Hellinger Theater in New York on March 15, 1956, and ran for 2717 performances, which was, at the time, the longest run a Broadway show had ever had.
