Ernest Borgnine in Airwolf (1984)

Goofs

Where Have All the Children Gone?

Airwolf

Edit

Continuity

When the school bus is seen on the road the words "Coconino County School Dist." are on the side. But when it arrives at the Operations Center it just says "School Bus" on the side.
During the pursuit of Hawke, the police car changes from a model with vertical headlights to one with horizontal headlights.
Hawke gets into Airwolf wearing civilian clothing, and is seen in the subsequent shot wearing his gray Firm uniform.
The yellow school bus changes from older rounded back on the road to a newer square back bus when it pulls up to the operations center.

Revealing mistakes

Following the brief chase with Hawke and the police car, Dom lands Airwolf on an incline, with the helicopter facing uphill. When Dom gets out, all 3 wheels have been chocked, apparently to keep the chopper from rolling downhill.
When the van with Billy and Sabrina rolls into town, the building that was previously shown as the Police Department can be seen in the background, but the Police Department sign that was standing up on the roof is now laying flat.

Plot holes

Air launched missiles do not have the range to strike Moscow. Air launched missiles over California lack the range to reach Washington DC. One of the missiles shown was a land-launched ballistic missile.
At 100,000 feet there is insufficient air for a helicopter to operate.
At Mach 2, it would take over 2 hours to fly from California to Washington DC. Contrary to what was shown/stated, interceptors out of the DC area could have intercepted incoming missiles more quickly than Airwolf.
No community in California populated entirely by children (presumably under 18) could continue to exist as shown. Outside contact would be required in several areas, and police officers in California must be a minimum age. Since law enforcement agencies exchange information, the fact no adults were present would have been noticed by the county Sheriff's Department and/or the CHP.
Drone aircraft do not carry nuclear weapons, so Billy's threat was impossible.
