Lance LeGault in Airwolf (1984)

Goofs

Sweet Britches

Airwolf

Edit

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Polk County, TX is shown to be in a desert area which would be found in West Texas, The real Polk County is in eastern central Texas, closer to Louisiana, in a heavily forested region. Polk County is a fictional county in this episode, and counties with same names do exist in the U.S.A.
The deputy is shot and falls prone next to the highway patrol helicopter. When the helicopter takes off a few seconds later the body is gone. It is possible that he was only wounded and had managed to walk away.
A previous post notes that this episode takes place in Polk County, Texas. Multiple times onscreen and in speech, the location is identified as Polk County. In real life, there is no Polk County, Texas. Since this is a work of fiction, there could be a Polk County in Texas.

Revealing mistakes

When Caitlin O'Shannessy runs out to her helicopter, you can soon see her starting the engine and the main rotor starting to turn. As Airwolf shoots up the sheriff, there is a shot of Caitlin's helicopter without the rotor turning. After Airwolf blows up the sheriff's department, Caitlin's helicopter's main rotor is spinning full speed.

Miscellaneous

When String and Dom first fire up Airwolf at the start of the episode, one of the monitors read that they are 42,550 feet above sea level.

Crew or equipment visible

When they use Airwolf to blow the pickup truck over you can plainly see the cable the prop department uses to achieve the affect.

Errors in geography

Prior to Airwolf attacking the sheriff's office a roadside mileage sign can be clearly seen. The mileages - Blythe 48 and Phoenix 214. Clearly nowhere close to Texas.

Plot holes

It makes no sense why Hawke would finally kill the Sheriff. Caitlin was already in her chopper, the sheriff's deputies had already fled the compound and Hawke was covering Caitlin against the gunfire. He could have waited until she lifted off and did not need to kill the sheriff.
