During the aggressive driver's training, Malloy drives a '69 Belvedere during the exterior shots but is actually seen from the inside of a '72 Matador piloting through the obstacle course.
A shot of the odometer shows 659.2 miles on the training vehicle car. In a closeup taken later in the session, the odometer shows 659.0 miles, a difference of -0.02. Later in the same training session, the odometer has got its 0.02 mile back.
When Malloy is on the training course in the first scene, the numbers on the side of the "C" pillar change between 10 and 14, while the numbers on the roof of the car appear and disappear.
When Reed and Malloy are chasing the stolen AMC Javelin a shot of their police car's odometer is shown. The mileage is 659.3, revealing it's the same speedo used earlier in the driver training scene.
When the officers pull over the van for running a stop sign, the rear license plate on the van it totally illegible, yet they don't issue a ticket or make any mention of it to the van's owner.
