While Reed and Malloy are sitting in the unmarked car waiting for the purse snatcher to make his move, Reed tells Malloy to remind him that if he ever got the urge to become a detective to remind him of this caper. Interestingly, when Jack Webb was planning the next revival of Dragnet (1951) shortly before his passing, he considered Kent McCord for the role of Friday's new partner, possibly in a continuation of the character of Jim Reed.
The gold 1968 Mustang coupe with white vinyl top 'studio car' can be seen outside Malloy's apartment. In this episode, it is his personal car and he uses it to drive Mrs. O'Brien to the police station.
While Reed's home is an occasional setting for the show, this marks one of the few instances when Malloy's apartment building is shown, if only the exterior.
DB = dead body.
