Mittie Lawrence and Martin Milner in Adam-12 (1968)

Goofs

Log 122: Christmas - The Yellow Dump Truck

Adam-12

Edit

Continuity

After Haines cuts Adam-12 off, he passes the same car (the copper Mustang that appeared throughout the series) twice before driving onto a lawn.
When Reed and Malloy are at the Christmas tree lot, a woman runs up and tells them there is a robbery in progress two blocks away. When they arrive, it's raining, although the sun was out at the tree lot. Later, when the sergeant arrives, it's not raining and the street is dry again.
The scene at the parking lot where Officers Reed and Malloy help Mrs. Ward load the gifts into her car is shot from three different angles. In all three, the same black-over-brown 1966 AMC Ambassador hardtop appears in the background - in three different locations.

Miscellaneous

When the drunken man is taken to the station, there is already another drunk man being processed who looks like he could be the first actor's twin: same shade of blond hair, same facial features, same height and build; only the mustache is missing. When he turns around and faces the camera, the close-up reveals him to then strangely look like Malloy's twin. using similar actors get confusing for the viewers.

Crew or equipment visible

(at around 6 mins) The shadows of lights are visible on the hood of the car.

Character error

Officers Reed and Malloy are called to settle a disturbance between Charlie and Reba Buehler; this is the second time recently they have done so but they make no reference to having met or dealt with the couple before. ---This is because they used the same actors to play a different couple, with similar problems.
When Malloy brings the lady the yellow dump truck for her son, she tells him he shouldn't have and postures as if she were about to start crying. At no point does she bother herself to thank him, which is stereotyping from the production. Finally, she mutters an anti-climactic and barely heard "thank you", without effusiveness, gratitude nor bothering to looking at Malloy.
The Black actress playing the mother will be reused playing a nurse in the following week's episode, Log 81: The Long Walk (1969). Neither Reed nor Malloy ask her how her son is doing. Nothing is said of her having been seen merely the week prior. If she plays a different character, this was way too soon for audiences and therefore confusing to the viewers.
