After Corbin drops his firearm, it changes position from shot to shot. When he first drops it, it is beside the patrol car in full sunshine. When Reed places the first suspect into the rear seat of the patrol car, the firearm isn't visible, but should be. And when Malloy finally picks it up, it is just underneath the patrol car in the shadow.
In police units without cages (a barrier separation of front and back seats) one officer rides in the back for safety/supervise the suspect with his service weapon away from the suspect. Officer Reed is driving so Corbin gets in back with the suspect. However, he sits behind Reed with his weapon toward the suspect who could possibly grab it even in handcuffs.
Near the end when Gus Corbin is speaking with Jim Reed, Corbin's hair and lighting change dramatically when the camera pans from Corbin to Reed and back to Corbin.
When Reed says to Corbin to check out the trash can in front of the church, you can see a real LAPD cop walk into the shot over Corbin's right shoulder.
There's no plausible explanation how the burglars came down from the roof and had a ladder waiting at the hole in the wall.
Malloy tells Corbin, after the man is taken in to custody on the roof, that there may be a second suspect.
After the second suspect is taken in to custody Malloy calls in Code 4. He never asks or does any work to rule out the presence of a third suspect.

After Malloy sees the hole in the pawn shop, he tells Gus to "wait here" then goes outside to call SWAT due to possible multiple suspects. In reality, both officers would withdraw outside to the perimeter to wait for additional units or SWAT not leaving one inside. After back up arrives, officers would re-enter to clear buildings.
