The hunt continues - does it ever end? - for Marwan, who escapes once again (this guy is Houdini!), this time with "part" of the nuclear football, enough to still make him a huge threat and the info has could get him access to a warhead and activation code to use it. (Hey, they have to still complete a month-and-a-half of episodes.)
However, in this episode, an assistant to Marwan screws up, has to kill himself right before C.T.U. agents get to him, but an American working with him pretends to be innocent and is taken into custody. They should learn something from him.
In a sidebar, we see some old feelings resurface between Tony and Michelle. That's the second couple with that scenario so far this season. (Poor Jack doesn't know yet he is about to be dumped by his girlfriend, who is going back to her husband.) The "soap" bits are in here all the time, but just for quick moments, to break up the tension on the terrorist front.
The Vice President, who is now the acting President, acts scared, too. What's up with that? He appears to be no kind of leader. I'm sure that will be delved into in the coming weeks.
