Indian screen legend Rajkumar has died of a heart attack. The star of over 200 movies passed away in Bangalore. He was 77. Rajkumar was one of the most prolific actors the Asian country has ever produced with a glittering career spanning five decades. His most famous roles were in Bangaradha Manushya (The Golden Man) and Shabdavedi, but he was equally well known for his turbulent personal life which saw him kidnapped from his home by a group of bandits in July 2000. After spending weeks held hostage in the forests of southern India, he was released following violent protests in his home state of Karnataka. Rajkumar is survived by his actor son Raghvendra, who says his father's health deteriorated following the death of his older brother.
